For me Pancho Villa started it all. This man was an unbridled fighter thrown into a ring like an animal is thrown into a cage. He was shipped halfway across the world to fight in the Polo grounds in NY and people loved his destructive style. He died at 24, a true pioneer not just for Filipinos but for fighters of color.
Yourself being phillipino im surprised you said that about Penalosa, unless the 2 times i seen him in his prime those were his only good ones. I think in the lighter divisions we will continue to see japanese fighters, but It seems like theres not as many koreans anymore. There will always be thai boxers because most of them crossover and will continue to do so. I agree that the Pinoys should enjoy pacman while hes here.Elorde was the last Great fighter from the phillipines and that was about 1/2 century ago. But they will continue to put out good champions like Penalosa,Espinosa and Hawaain pinoys Salud,Gannigan,Viloria. Although Nonito looks like he could be special.
Malignaggi doesnt help his case by looking like a guido homo with a spray on tan. But yes, that would be a good example
look at your AVATAR THAT IS funny .IM NOT GONNA ASK YOU WHAT YOU DO FOR A LIVING ..................atsch
