Pacquiao, one of the most humble fighters in boxing, and is willing to take on any challenge and if people want to see an exhilirating fight, then they can always count on Pac.. I don't think money will be big of an issue with him as it was with Mayweather.. Though, only time will tell if boxing is indeed in better hands with Pac being the #1 P4P fighter in the world..

The whole idea of P4P is really just something for fans to discuss. While it's afun topic for some, it's as meaningless a title as those in the WWE. Truth is boxing is never in the hands of the P4P king, it's in the hand of those that have cross over appeal. All that said, Pac is a better representative of the title "Best in Boxing" then Mayweather ever was. More exciting and more willing to face the fight guys.

yes i think it was. Pac is a true sportsman outside and inside the ring. he also know how to take care of the fans. And quite amazed how humble he is.

sure the reasons are money but imo taking a fight with hatton is a bigger challenge than fighting the guys at your own weight class or perhaps the same amount of challenge as guys like guzman, jmm would give him stylistic problems but it would be like pavlik taking on calzaghe or kessler. The point was they were a lot bigger, and everyone expects hatton to KO pac

As much as I hate it Having Mayweather at #1 and Pac at #2 is better than having pac at #1 and No Mayweather at all!

acb if you were to change the thread to something like would boxing be better if Pac was #1 and Floyd #2 than I certainly would have voted for that. I'd rather have a fighter like Pac as the face of boxing than Floyd, but the fact is a superstar left the sport and thats never better...

pacquiao is a better ambassador and representative of boxing than mayweather if you would look at it this way: his fights are way more exciting than mayweather, more action always deliver what the fans want and would not be a total letdown., he has a better personality in and out of the ring as shown against diaz for example., no trash talking and **** talking.

The only downside is he is not good as mayweather

Yup! He never FOUGHT cotto! PAC fought JMM2X!

Age has nothing to do with p4p! It's the excitment that counts if I remember it correctly. Although I must say, getting it at a younger age is some record of some sort.

If you go by the higher weight reasoning then its will be always the heavywight which would be most important!

    IMO..

Pac seems like a great, fun loving guy in and out of the ring, Floyd seems to always being calculating and working his agenda. I actually started liking Floyd as I saw him as a performer/actor out of the ring, then he retired!!!! I think he'll be back though.

I'm just glad to be rooting for the #1 P4P now, not rooting for the #1 P4P's opponent.
