    hmm says . . .

more deaths in boxing than any other contact sport.
boxers are some of the fittest athletes... that's excluding the heavies.

other than that, i would also have to mention marathons, decathalons, triathalons, and things like that...

id have to say boxing over mma

in boxing, when you get knocked down and/or concussed, you have a few seconds to get back up and get an opportunity to compound the issue via more headshots

If you are looking at death professional wrestling has had more deaths than anysport I can think of in recent memory and those guys are in pretty good shape, but not the best.

Oh man don't bring professional wrestling into this. They all die from stupid stunts or prolonged use of steroids

To me the most gruelling fighting sport is Muay Thai. Boxing is the most elegant of all the fighting sport. MMA is just tangled messed.

Depends on what you say is "brutal". If you mean brutal as in body damaging? I would say boxing is and will stay on top. If you mean brutal as in painful to watch? I would say MMA. Yeah a gash on someones head is scary, but it ain't hurting you like eating a stiff jab for 8 rounds. Interveiw a former champ of Boxing and MMA. You immediately know which is more brutal. Sweat Pea was known for he defense and...

If you are just a psychopath then I would say Vale Tudo, but I don't even know if you can count that crazy crap as a sport!
