lol! since these first-world dbags love racist remarks hurled against other nations, why not give them a dose of their own medicine? "Briad be stealin your moneeee, your gurlz, your edukazon."
Viloria was born and raised in Hawaii and has not relocated to Manila, Quezon City, or any other part of the Phillipines. That means that he is from Hawaii, even though he is of Filipino descent. It's a different case than, say, Ben Villaflor, who fought out of Hawaii for a while, but was from the Phillipines. Just saying. Good fighter, either way. Needs a couple more wins, imo, to be worthy of HOF status, but he's made a pretty good case for himself as of late.
You are both correct! Why are you exactly debating. He is saying Viloria is of Filipino lineage, of american citizenship - which are entirely true. and back to the question - if some are already suggesting that ndre ward is HOF based on many threads here that are saying he accomplished more than Calzaghe, guess what, Viloria shits Ward's resume.
The comment that started the debate was that Viloria's Filipino heritage somehow precluded him from being discussed as one of Hawaii's best. Clearly not the case. Viloria's resume has one signature win (Segura, who was coming up) and a few wins over good solid fighters (Solis, Aguirre, Romero, and most recently Marquez). And the losses he suffered during a mid-career slump (most notably the stoppage loss to a relatively ordinary Tamara) can't be forgotten. Not sure if that's enough, in and of itself. But...Viloria's exciting, and he's been around for quite a while, and that works in his favor. And if he gets one more signature win, he'll probably have earned his trip to Canastota for induction by the time all is said and done.
You actually have a high regard for Segura. You got swayed by Segura's victory against Calderon? Honestly, I always regard his Solis victory higher because Solis is light years better fundamentally than Segura. Viloria had issues when he almost killed Reuben Contreras - he became gun-shy. He became this fighter just going through the notions. The Tamara fight, where he was winning handily just showed you that. He was poorly conditioned. His other losses was simply because he was not throwing enough, very tentative.
