A sad state of affairs for the little island. All of their fighters have been beaten up on a world stage as of late.

Are there any other "boxing countries" that are doing this poor?

Define "champion" - do you mean beltholder, ring champ or lineal champ?

If you mean any of the two latter then I'd say that both Germany, Russia and France are void of champions as well. Even the U.S.A. is looking a little thin.

Ricky Burns is a good champion and a true world class fighter

    Clev isn't all that though.

    Why just the Brits?

If it was not for those guys we would not have this great sport of boxing!

There are numerous countries without champions.

Considering the size of their population they have done amazingly well over the years.

With how fractured boxing is at the moment, its hard for a lot of countries to claim to have a genuine world champion.

But if we are talking about British boxing today, i'd agree this era isnt exactly a hayday for us. Fortunately, we have a lot of good fghters coming through the ranks, as well as a few good amateurs who will go pro after London 2012.

In short, I wouldnt feel too sorry for us just yet :good

I'm british and the number of fighters we have in top 10 rankings is very impressive right now. We are only a small country you know.

Plus we have alot of up and comers. I really wouldnt worry about us too much.

No, they dont have one legitimate Champion.

Froch, Khan and Haye embarrassingly lost their belts in 2011.
