Great Britain or United Kingdom is not a country?

It represents England, Scotland, N.Ireland and Wales that are United as a Kingdom.

But they are seperate countries.

The United Nations recognized the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. NOT England, Scotland, or Wales.

The Prime Minister of Great Britain is exactly that. NOT the Prime Minister of England, Scotland and Wales.

On my passport it says British citizen. NOT English citizen. If I was applying for a VISA in a foreign country I would have to declare that I’m from the country Great Britain or the UK. NOT England.

This is all because of the Act of the Union over 300 years ago.

Great britain is a country with the constituent nations of England, Scotland, Wales and that is a FACT.

And no the E.U is entirely different manning.
