Classic HBO bull****. Broner is a very good fighter, but early on we were led to believe he's the greatest. He's a very talented young fighter who needs to improve to be elite.
I remember SRL said something along the lines of; 'If Broner's Feet were as quick as his upper body he could be the best of his generation.'.
He is already 3 division weight champ right? Hardly hype job but it is yet to see how good will be.. Can he claim all the high expectations... So far so good.
I think Broner's harshest criticism comes from a pocket of fans, who merely want to see him lose due to his silly antics. If this is you, you'll never get beyond that no matter how his career turns out. He's definitely got the goods and at his age he can only improve.
Broner HAS demonstrated that he is a very solid fighter. I think it reasonable to assume that he worked VERY hard to get where he is today, in the boxing world. He HAS achieved much for a young man of only 22 years. I see no reason to believe that he can't improve as he gains more and more experience. The question is: does he have the POTENTIAL to stand out as one of the elite? My gut feeling is that he does. Whether or not he will live up to his potential... only time will tell.
2 months and 1 week until Broner takes a knee and then gets stopped vs El Chino Marcos Maidana. The countdown is on guys. Tick Tock, Tick Tock. Broner's 0 and arrogance is gone on Dec 14th at the MGM.
No point bringing that fight up, worst version of Maidana ever vs a man who fights nothing like Broner. its a shame as Broner will need to run and hold as much as Devon did but he doesn't so maidana will get plenty of chances to land and don't worry he will land. Maidana KO.:deal
A bit Lucky to get the decision vs the worst Belt holder at WW (with zero power, Broner has very little power at 147 as well), Maidana is a different kind of animal. Maidana KO's Broner on DEC 14th.:deal
We shall see, one of us will be wrong but hey there's only 2 fighters to pick from in each fight so its not rocket science.:rofl
