Is Broner following in the same footsteps as Chad Dawson?

Chad Dawson was a carefully built HBO hypejob, given primetime exposure and forced down the throats of blinkered, gullable American viewers by being carefully matched with overated domestic bums.

Whe Dawson had finished fighting fellow hypejobs like Tarver and Johnson on the domestic scene, he was badly exposed by C-level fighters like Pascal and Stevenson.

Broner appears to be on the same tracks as Dawson, laughably high in Ring comic p4p rankings, fooling gullable fans with huge tv exposure thinking he is some kind of superstar with carefull match making.

When Broner steps up in competition, will he go the same way as the likes of other domestic hypejobs like Dawson, Tarver, Taylor, Pavlik, Lacy etc and be brutally exposed as hypejob with a glass jaw who will be viewed in hindsight as an absolute embarrassment to his hoards of gullable fans?

When he stepped out of the domestic scene he was exposed by 2 C level Canadians :deal

 

Dawson is a talented fighter with questionable passion and lacks that killer instinct...he just never seemed to have that fire and will to be great...he also now has suspect punch resistance...

Broner however is a talented fighter who from what I've observed has great passion for the sport, does have killer instinct and visibly wants to be not only great but the best...he seems to have a solid chin and has the ability to fight inside, has good power, speed and solid defense...

Of course his resume hasn't formed as of now but damn he's only 23, from 140-147 he will eventually have no choice but to fight top guy...wil he win against the elite of those divisions...only time will tell, but I say with confidence that he won't lose to any C or B level fighters...

He's definitely no Chad Dawson...

 

This is along the lines of what I think also. Dawson was and is over-rated imo and Broner is p4p better in more aspects of the fight game from what I can see.

and no, because Broner is only 23, and you can argue whether he is carefully matched at that age or not , bur Chad wasn't overrated, he just made the stupid mistake of changing his trainers every other fight,

 

I seem to remember that at one time Dawson broke the rings top5 p4p, and Broner has been featuring top 10 p4p. Do you think those type of rankings were warranted or do you feel that ring alongside HBO and Showtime try to fool the domestic minions with delusional propaganda? :think

The Hopkins win is the best victory on his resume but then again he was stylistically made to beat Hopkins.

 

Some times the p4p list is definitely political and tries to pull the wool over peoples eyes (e.g. Guerrero being ranked p4p before the Mayweather fight). But I'm one of the few who think Broner does belong in the P4P rankings but Dawson at 5 was probably too high, although I wouldn't be an expert on that time
