He is not as gifted talent-wise as people have made him out to be either IMO.
Think about this: There are no elite fighters that don't have either:

    A. Great footwork
    or
    B. Elite power for their weight class
    or
    C. Superb work rate

Some of the best have all in their prime. Broner had B. at 135 and below. His power is average at 147, footwork is garbage. His work rate is horrible for a world champion level fighter, on par with the worst we've ever seen at the level.
The only elite talent he has is good handspeed. That's it. The rest needs work. He would have potential to be a solid champion with a proper work ethic. All things considered I don't think he is going to make it though.

Yeah the biggest mistake he could have made was going up to 147. He should have had a few more fights at 135 and then at 140, he would still be a champion now, still highly rated, looking good, gaining a profile all the time. I believe he
    a) Thought he was God's gift that it was easy to jump weight like Mayweather, Pac etc had done, but these ATG's are the exceptions, its tough to jump weight. He only looked in the short term (paper title vs Malinaggi.)
    b) He isn't dedicated enough to keep training hard to make 135. He ballooned in weight due to partying etc and wasn't arsed getting back into proper shape.

In this day and age that might just be the case.

If Broner redirects his lifestyle and priorities, I think he still has lots of time to hone his craft and become a great fighter.
He is young (and dumb), and reminds me mentally of Zab Judah, weak-minded.

If he is able to finally learn from this last loss and become less of a party animal and more gym-rat, I see Broner turning this loss around 360 degrees. If not, he will likely have a good career as a stepping stone journeyman, like Zab.

I don't get why broner doesn't jab...actually I know why...he's too busy trying to hit the pads like Floyd with his trainer mike stafford .

This muddafuka actually thought he could walk down Marcos maidana of all people, without a jab lol

If he avoids Maidana he might win his next fight if he cherry picks a soft touch. Maidana brutalizes him again, so would my boy Lucas.

Broner is popular, fun to watch and has a big mouth. He will always be around. Ortiz and Khan went through tough, tough losses and they're still among the most popular fighters in the sport

i cant stand broner but im just being realistic. he is not done. he lost to a good fighter in maidana.

broner has major wholes in his game, but if he puts his mind to it he can bounce back gain sum momentum and motivation and be right back in the mix.

his main problem is he doesnt have any footwork. when sum one can fight better then him like maidana he doesnt kno how to get away. broner was used to just comng forward like a methodical robot vs the little guys untill he hit them with a solid shot.

broners best bet is to go down to 140 fight a mediocre fighter coming of a loss and try to work ur way to fightin top 10 guys in wut ever weight class u decide to go in

polarizing figures will make mone in this sport regardless of how they fare in the ring. I mean, ricardo mayorga could put himself in the jmw-smw picture by crashing a press conference. now, look at someone like broner, a kid who was beaten in his last fight, but who fought hard and isn't even 25 years old. he'll make alot of money before it's all said and done.

But the trouble is he losses to top guys at every weight he can fight...
140 lbs Danny beats him really easy, Lucas beats him, Provodnikov beats him
147 lbs LOL to long list to post it :D
154 lbs he losses via KO left and right...
So he does have few more fights on top because of attention he brought with being total idiot but what after that:think

    SPOT ON:deal
Even his 'trademark' defense is C+ for championship level, he got hit with widest shots possible by Maidana and he is supposed to be defensive wizard.

broner lacks use of defensive fundamentals.
