Adamek's only fight and lost in his career was with mcgirt against dawson

he never looked so weak and slow, of course dawson is fast but you can not say that its fighters fault that they cant do what mcgirt is trying to say/teach them

good trainer finds the best solution/training scenario for the specific fighter with his good and bad areas not trying to make everybody fight his way

thats why he is bad he tries to convince fighter to fight his(mcgirt) way not what the fighter is the best in

Hes good. He helped Gatti get the better of Ward. He got that knockout over Jones right? That was huge!! Do you really believe it was his fault that Malignaggi couldnt beat Hatton?

joe santiago is also shite. and the HIGHLY over rated nacho berinstein - who let marquez get fat, waste hours and hours pricking around in a mountain throwing stones and hirlariously drink his own **** on tv. actually... i want to change my yes vote... nacho is probably the most shite.

That's the best opponent Adamek ever faced, I wouldn't really blame Buddy.

He did good with Arturo Gatti and he did good with Tarver but that's about it.

Decent wins here and there but most his other fighters lose their biggest fights.

There are definetely trainers that are worse than Mcgirt. Ya can't blame the trainer for fighters not following the gameplan. That's like blaming Mayweather Sr that Hatton lost to Pac. Hatton didn't listen that's his loss not Sr's.

Robert Alcazar was the worst...Oscar in the first half of his carrer got by on natural talent and solid fundamental boxing alone. He was horrible under pressure (the John Molina fight)

norman stone, jose santiago are absolute ****. shane mosley would be even greater if he hired some else earlier in his career instead of his dad.

And he was with him against Briggs as well, where, althought it make it very entertaining fight, Adamek (and Buddy) showed no strategy at all. I can't understand fighter with good jab and serious reach advantage allowing his opponent to go inside and making it a war.

i think a lot of times it can just be chemistry between the trainer and fighter. you can't tell me steward is not a good trainer and jt was not a decent fighter but something just didn't work there. mcgirt might not be the right fighter for mallanagi or ademek, or others, but he prolonged gatti's career, created a gameplan to ko rj when fought tarver the second. even in the first fight tarver gave jones all he could handle. roach is a great trainer but it didn't work out with him and hopkins or dlh.

Yup he is one of the worst. He shows no versatility in his methods. I hear him in the corner and he gives every fighter the same instructions despite who they are and how they're losing or how bad it is.
