    no...

but there is no clear no. 1 either due to some surprising results in super six. however, whoever wins super six, will be CLEAR no 1.

as it now seems, anyone can beat anyone in the tournament on any given day, and the winner will surely have the best resume of all 168 lbers.

There is a correct answer to this question. No

Ward will win the super 6. He is the best in the division. He was before the tournament started as well, he just didn't have the resume to prove it yet. At least Bute will be the last man standing after Ward walks the rest of the division.

Berrio ranked top 10 and Champion when Bute Blasted him Out, Has a Win over Current 168lb Wbo champ Stieglitz,

Andrade was ranked #4 at the Time But Blasted him out and on Paper has 2 wins over him the 2nd which is far more impressive then Kessler win over Andrade.

Bika is in the Top 10 and was in the top 10 when But beat him.

Zuniga was in the top 15 after he blasted out Oganov and fought a close fight with Inkin. He was flat blasted aswell.

so who has better and more consitant wins other then Kessler? who just lost his last fight and b4 that had done nothing after the joe fight really.

Ward has 1 win Kessler. Miranda was no where near top 10 or 15 when he got beat by ward.

Froch has Jt who was ranked at #5 when he had a lost to KP at 166 and A 12ud against Lacy. Pascal and Dirrell wern't in the top 10 at the time. dirrell is now based on his most recent performace . which makes Froch case stronger.

Dirrell has 1 win over AA who has one win over JT .

And Green well wlthough in the top 10 for quite some time has really fought subpar Fighters in Sims and Deleon.

NO Ward and Froch are ahead of Bute! And unless Bute starts to step it up, two or tree fighters from the super six will be ahead of Bute..

We might even see rematches with figters from the super six, as more important to the top of SMW, before any action with Bute.

Fair maybe not, but thats how it is..

If Bute were the best SMW, he would have accepted to join the Super 6 tournament and fight the best men in his weight class. He was offered a spot, and said no. To me, that is enough to say that he is certainly NOT the best.

Link, or shut the **** up.

Bute was not invited, and neither was Pavlik. However, Ward and Direll, who are both little more than prospects, were invited. So was Jermain Taylor's corpse, and after JT droped out, they brought in Alan Green who does not have one single meaningful win. Now, please tell me how the **** "the best are fighting the best" in the sauerland six.

Andre Ward is the best fighter at 168lbs and if he moves up to 175lbs any time in the future than you can pretty much consider him the best there too. I think he's that good.

Sometimes you need to step away from boxrec and look at what the fighters are really capable of if they face one another. How many times would Andrade need to fight Ward to hit him with something significant? Bute was very impressive in stopping a limited fighter in Andrade. Then again what do you expect from him? Andrade is a mummy. Taylor and his soft nugget would still get by him. There is not a single thing that Bute does better than Ward and if they ever fight Bute's toast.

who says i was looking at Box rec fool have you ever seen Berrio fight? Bika? Andrade? and this is going off the Ring Ranking and Ring gots Bute # 1. He's Done just a slight bit better Body of work for a man with what only 24or 25 fights? And no one really knows how a ward andrade fight would play out. Andrade is at 6'2 tank and is like nothing ward has ever seen. so know one knows for sure that outcome. what we Do know is NAdrade has done a good body of work and holds a win over the current WBo champion. by KO. ANd Im sorry but Know version of Taylor gets By Andrade . JT would be beaten down. and who care who you think would win between Ward and Bute . Were going off of resume and Bute gotz him beat read through all my post and learn something about the 168lb division. Ward got 1 great win. Froch win agains dirrell looks slightly better but dirrell wasn't ranked in the top 10 by ring at the time sam goes for pascal. and what did JT ever do at 168 to get into the top 5 ? past accolades? Please go do some research. Kesler was just barely holding onto his #1 spott due to inactiviy and fighting and beating undfeated unranked prospects. But was already nipping at his heels and was a clearly the 2nd man b4 this tourney started that is a fact.

man im american but for **** sake How long have you followed the 168lb Division? this is to any and everyone. JUst because your fighter american or Non is undefeated or has 1 good win doesn't mean he's # 1 it's your over all body of work . this is why Kessler was #1 having not fouhgt any real test in over 18month but Bute was already nipping at his heels. with Kessler recent Loss although he has more wins against top 10 fighter then Bute he slipped down to 4 maybe 3 and bute took over his spot when he demolished Andrade who was one of Kessler best wins. Ward fro the time he beat kessler was briefly # 1 based on sucha great win but as soon as Bute cleared the Air his over all body of work gave him the place. Now who knows how long he may keep it but for sure the winner of this tourney will be Number ! unlees bute and Dawson fight at 168 then the winner of that fight may become #1. i only mentioned Chad because he mentioned coming back down to 168.

The fact that this thread continues is telling. The super six has yet to clear up anything and has instead shown how deep and compelling this weight division is. With the couple of controversial fights that have already happened, I have a feeling that even when the Super Six is completed there will still be no clear number one. The good thing is that the fans will demand to see these fighters more and hopefully that will spur continued quality match making even when the tournament is over.
