Bute needs to step it up a bit, we still don't know what he can against top fighters, as of right now I'd rank Ward easily over him.

 

If you didn't regard Kessler as the clear #1 in the division, then I can see why you rank Froch at the top.

His last three wins are excellent but I scored the Dirrell fight against him, and I view Ward as the superior fighter who would beat Froch handily if they fought. As I said, I rank him above Bute though.

 

Rankings are based on actual results though so you have to count Froch's win against Dirrell.

Bute is a top fighter at 168 but no case can be made for saying he's the best. His resume doesn't support it.

 

Bute is irrelevant. There is no point in even considering him until the Super Six is over and he can beg to be reaccepted into the family of boxers who fight elites.

 

A case can be made for saying he's the best. His ability supports that case. Just ask Ward and Dirrell what they think of Bute - in fact, they've already said what they think of him.

i cant say that untill he actually fights sumbody good. edison miranda is good tho so finally hes steppin up, but edison miranda is that good this is his last test b4 a major fight.
