Get a ****ing clue, would you?

Both Siaca and Beyer were the title holders when Kessler beat them - they were not vacated crowns when Kessler picked them up.

Getting his title back after Calzaghe vacated against Sartison was a bit weak, I agree - Haussler was a mandatory.

Compared to Bute - who picked up his title against Berrio (yeah, I know, who, right?) who had won the fight against Stieglitz (who, right?) after Joe dropped the IBF to get the unification match with Kessler.

Kessler's titles are more "legitimate" than Butes - although Butes defenses of his title (Andrade, Joppy and Zuniga) are probabl more legitimate than Kesslers.

    NOt true..

At least Green never got clocked by a slow limited fighter ( andrade ) in the final second of the final round and flopped all over the ring like a fish.. The thing is, he was winning that fight too comfortably..

    That's pure imcompetence by a title holder.:bart

C'mon bruh.. Nobody in their right mind believes that Bute won that fight.

He should have lost by a KO.. Andrade got robbed bigtime.

I meant his current belt, which you acknowledged. There's no argument that Kessler's current title run is better than Bute's current title run though. I'm not saying Bute's on Kessler's level, or that his resume is better than Kessler's (because it's not), but on the whole his resume is still better than any other current super middleweight, unless you give a ton of weight to Froch's win over Taylor. Bute has four wins better than Froch's next best win after Taylor, and even if you give more credit to Pascal than I do, there's a huge drop off in talent level that Froch has faced after Pascal.

    3 seconds left,he got up,beat the count.
Unless you scored 7 rounds for Andrade there was no robbery in that fight.
Can't say the same thing about Green vs Linton.

Bute's a hell of a fighter. I think he's one of the most underrated fighters on this board, personally.

i respectfully disagree. He got up before the count. if the ref didn't try to buy him time he didn't need by shoving andrade to a corner there would be no controversy. the idiot ref started the problem not bute

I can dig what you're saying - like I said, Bute is on a pretty good path as far as resume goes due to his victories against Zuniga, Andrade, Joppy, Bika and to a lesser extent - Berrio.

His title defenses against Zuniga, Andrade and Joppy beat any other current titlist in their current title defenses (not counting Kessler since he dropped the belt and regained) and as such, I think he should probably be #1 in the Ring rankings ahead of Kessler

But overall - Kessler has the better wins. Out of the three, Froch has the biggest win against Taylor, Kessler the second biggest against Mundine - then theres a lottery between Bika, Beyer, etc etc

Berrio hasn't had anywhere near the same competition as Siaca nor the same wins. As much as I hate Mundine - he's an impressive win for Siaca.

Lets get one thing straight. Calzaghe dropped the IBF to fight Manfredo Jr. Not to fight the unification with Kessler.

He dropped the IBF so he didn't have to fight Stiegitz.

Manfredo was used as a marketing ploy to get US attention.

Berrio was a top 10 SMW with great power coming off KO wins over undefeated Mack and undefeated Stieglitz in their home towns.
Besides beating Mundine(barely) Siaca has done nothing.Unless losing to a 41 year old Branco is a performance.
