I noticed im not consuming enough fat in my diet and wanted to enquire if adding abit of butter e.g 10g to my sandwhich or bagel for breakfast would be a healthy way of getting more fat in my diet?

There are better sources to get fat intake from like, nuts, and olive oil. Having a little extra butter on your biscuit though is not the end of the world.

whether good or bad, butter tastes so goooooood!

it's awesome on toast, it's awesome on my pancakes, it's awesome on my biscuits, it's amazing on my mashed potatoes, on my pasta, on my pork chops, even on my roasted broccoli and cauliflower, my sauteed spinach.

    I luv my butter! :blurp

You want to be getting fat from things like fish, nuts, avocado, olive oil etc. You want good fat and you want other nutrients at the same time.

Some saturated fat from meat and dairy won't do alot of harm if you don't overdo it but you'd want to avoid trans fats completely, Butter is probably better than margarine in that regard, depending where you're from.

Not best source of fat but butter isnt the worst source of fat you can find.
Do you use the paleo diet?

Hi mate it would be good if you could tell us a bit about your experience with the paleo diet, from memory you compete in some long distance cross country runs?
Where do you get your carbs from and how do you time it around your more demanding training?
I would've thought that it would be a tough diet for an athlete to follow, it would be better for an overweight/sedentary person from what I understand.

Hi guys. Gotta make it quick for now. I buy frozen bags of broccoli and cauliflower. After I steam or nuke them I add almonds and almond oil. I add tabasco sauce for flavor. For dessert I'll mash two bananas, almonds and add coconut oil w raw honey to it. I splurge twice a week buying a whole chicken. When I have really long training days I boil a sweet potato for topping off my glucose stores.

I try to force my body to work off fat stores and coffee. When I do get carbs say on race day, I.feel very supercharged and know that when that gets depleted, I can fall back on my training.

I'll answer any additional questions you gents may have when I get home

It's a tough diet to follow for 2 weeks and then your body gets used to it.
