He's a great fighter. He did far better vs Benavidez than Boo Boo did. He actually went the distance in a highly competitive fight. Yes he faded down the stretch but he won many rounds and gave Benavidez his toughest test.

He showed how skilled he is against both Canelo and Benavidez. How many people really expected him to put up the kind of fight he did against Benavidez? He actually earned Benavidez's respect in that fight, by how he fought and that he hung in there and refused to be stopped. He showed heart, guts, and was outboxing Benavidez for much the first half of the match, even makng Benavidez look silly at times.

He's a very slick boxer who's determined to perform at his best. So yes he's definitely underrated beacuse he showed how good he was, both in the losses to Canelo and Benavidez, but also in the KO of Dirrell, showing that he can punch and can get a sensational KO like that out of nowhere. I'm definitely a Plant fan and look forward to seeing him again.

No, he is actually overrated. And more so - ridiculously overrated by Canelo's fans

No. My stating him an overachiever only pertains to the fact that he won a title.

He only has one win over someone (that title win) that he wasn't favored against. If you're favored over nearly everyone you fight and beat those same "everyone" you're favored against, that's not underrated.

Underrated is you are expected to lose against this person, that person and the third person yet you go on a run and beat all 3. Plant ain't never did that. Underrated is you get the wins (consistently) that you weren't supposed to get.
