    Is he a legend?
Amsterdam(the guy who love to suck elite boxer's dick) think so?
I'm trying to be neutral, and I can't see an argument to call him a LEGEND..

I don't know if its me who don't understand the proper definition of LEGEND, but for me a legend is Ali, SRR, RJJ ect ect..

To be a legend, you must beat an elite fighter in their prime no?

Help me to change my mind please

He is a bigger legend than most American boxers who are described by that word.

He's certainly not on the level of Ali, SRR, and RJJ

Eubank, Lacy, Kessler and Hopkins are still all very good wins, and while the likes of Reid, Bika, Brewer, Sheika, Mitchell and Veit are by no means elite, they are solid names to back up his 4 impressive wins.

Add that to his talent then in my opinion I would say yes, he is a legend, though not on the level of the likes of Ali, SRR or Duran by any means.

    Very true.

Joe Calzaghe even made Bernard Hopkins look like he was 43 years old or something last time out. This of course is not true, but so much did Calzaghe create the illusion of Hopkins being an old man, people actually altered Hopkins' wikipedia and boxrec profiles to read he was born in 1965.

The term is used too loosely I would agree, but considering some of the names that are handed 'legendary' status nowadays I don't think it's too unreasonable not to include Calzaghe in the pack.

im with you, his resume has no elite fighter in their prime on it. I dont care if he fought in Wales his whole career, if he was fighting elite fighters over there It wouldnt matter 2 me. Hos resume is weak IMO 2 b considered a legend. He is trying to bolster it now. Not a legend IMO

well at least he is trying to fight known fighters now. IDK man, im not a calzaghe fan so IDK. I will give himr espect for beating RJ, i mean even though he isnt in his prime, there is no other LHW that i would rather him fight. Dawson and Tarver are fighting, and he says he is gonna fight Pavlik at 168, so fighting RJ for the fame and the money I cant knock him. But a legend, IDK. I just cant put him in the class of ali, duran, leonard, robinson, rj, etc.

Calzaghe will b known as a great champion IMO. but a LEGEND, not in my eyes
