Is Calzaghe another Prince Naseem and is Kessler another Marco Barrera?

NO Calzaghe is respected by us. We know he got skills, but he has fought nobody for the level of fighter he is or was during his prime. I mean, you got to show and prove. You are not great by default.:smoke

I am British, but I am not a Calzaghe fan at all. I do not really like the Welsh to begin with (I am a proud English man), and I do not like the fact that Calzaghe slaps with his punches and gets away with it.

I am a neutral in this one.:good

I do however expect Calzaghe to win through superior speed, superior ring movement and superior experience. Kessler is an expeptionally gifted boxer aswell though, so I see this being close and being something like 115-112/ 116-112 for Calzghe.

 

To answer the threadstarter's question:

Heck no. If MK beats JC, IMO, it's because Joe's getting a little long in the tooth. But I don't think Joe's going to lose.

 

Well for a start, Calzaghe has infinitely more strength of CHARACTER than Naz ever did, something that is IMO probably the most important attribute to have in boxing.

I don't think so...Calzaghe doesn't have the same style as Hamed and Kessler is no Barrera. I think Calzaghe wins this.

LOL this thread is a joke. Im rooting for Kesler cause I hate fighters that wait after they have 300 fights to fight the best out there. But in reality I think it is gonna be the other way around. Calzaghe will make Kessler look ordinary, Im afraid.
