i agree with this, it was not his fault, yes it was not his fault but at the end of the day he still didn't fight the best, didn't do much in his prime

It might be partial correct bro..
he defo draw's the line between True Boxing fan's and Casual weekend fan's.
[A casual fan would not like Calzaghe's style one bit]

His lack of [Shown] power has washed out the fight and made it more of a point game.
[Again, nothing wrong with a Boxing match]
But the possibility of K.O. is almost zero when you see Joe is only arm punching for the card's.
[it appear's as if he is not even trying to put any hurt on his opponent's]

I bet Lacy beg's to differ that...
anyway, I don't think his not being American is a big deal.
because even the feather fisted american fighter's get no love from the
"Weekend Warrior fan's" ask insert any defensive feather fisted fighter.

I don't think he's feather-fisted. I think his he's actually rather heavy-handed, and slaps because he was injury-prone hands. His hands being fairly heavy to begin with, he can get away with this and still do damage. He can mix in a harder shot with his slapping shots.

And i'd probably have to point out how B-hop ducked Calzaghe, when a fight was signed he then turned around and wanted double. B-hop is the ducker here.

IT's pretty easy to call someone's name after a fight but he never did anything to help make the fights happen.

Because the man has made a career of ducking challenges the only top fighter he ever fought was 43 yrs old and had him on the canvas and looking like **** over 12 rds. Add that to the controversial decision which many including Jim Watt an announcer on a Bristish telecast had him losing. It the overrating that gets to me.

    Boxing message board 'logic'

"He's calling him out, so it must mean he's making real effort to fight him"

Though in Joe's defense, it was not his fault back in 2002 that the fight didn't materialize. Hopkins demanded too much money that Showtime could afford, because he would have had to pay Don King.

I don't think it's the lack of power or his nationality, it's more to do with the lack of coverage + fights in the US.

did he know it was impossible that they would take note of him by that time? Bhop and jones were busy unifying the titles in their respective divisions by that time.
