Ofcourse you can't really compare the two as a fight between Hopkins and Calzaghe has yet to happen, but does it now have the same significance? Two aged, great fighters going H2H?

Some of you are saying Calzaghe should fight Pavlik or Dawson or some ****, but Hopkins would look much better on his resume in the long-run than any of the other proposed names..

Calzaghe´s style certainly does look gayish - but he would´ve beaten both Leonard and Hagler.

Calzaghe is perhaps the greatest super middleweight of all time. Hopkins is one of the 5 best middleweights of all time. They have 42 successful title defenses between them and have held WBC, WBA, WBO, and IBF belts in their respective prime divisions.

Explain how they are not "good"

Sugar Ray Leonard says in his book that he thinks Calzaghe is the best fighter in the world today, one of the best ever, and tells Michael J Fox that he would have lost to Joe at SMW.

It is a great, super super-middleweight fight that ought to happen and the sooner the better. The winner takes it all and the loser doesn't go into oblivion by any means, Leonard vs Hagler is the adequate comparasion and Frank Warren has the opportunity to make history at a world level, not just at european level if he works properly with Golden Boy Promotions...
