With all these injuries, that are preventing fights from going thru as scheduled, just wondering who is next on the cancelling list...

Won't be surprised one bit if Joe/Mikkel is cancelled.

True, but it won't be because of Kessler's undoing.

I think we'll see an excellent Joe in there, but Kessler may just take it...bar an injury cancellation

Kessler will get another slipped disc on the 13th of October, just two days after Calzaghe has hidden the fact that he broke his hands, while stirring some soup.

Honestly, I was shocked that Joe would take this fight. For a while it seemed like he was using the notoriety he got from beating Lacy to try and get a big pay day against a well-known American. If he loses to Kessler, that opportunity goes down the toilet. Kessler needs this fight to get the big money fight, but I don't think Calzaghe does. Kessler has everything to gain and Joe has a lot to lose.

He's taking a big risk. I don't think he matches up well stylistically with Kessler. The solid all-around fighters always seem to meet their match against taller puncers with a good reach. Also, if you're a southpaw you can't like fighting a guy with such an accurate and powerful right straight as Kessler has.

I can't think of a fight over the past several years that I've looked forward to as much as this one.
