    for his age yes.

but i wouldnt say unparalleled regardless of age. Paul Williams has a tremendous workrate as well...throughout the fight

You guys are missing the obvious choices.

    1) Pual Williams, yes he is lighter, but he throws more punches than JC per round and I believe he ahs the compubox record for total punches ever thrown through 12 rounds, I may be wrong about that. I know he has been over 1200 puncges in 12 rounds. Secondly, Paul actually throws harder than Joe.

The only thing about Paul Williams is he is younger he is only 27.

    2) Kasim Ouma..little lighter than Joe but he is a light middle/middle. He throws about as hard as Joe as well..similar punch volume. Kasim might throw a little more.

But, for his age and weight. Joe is the busiest figher. He is however, not the busiest fighter in boxing. That is Paul Williams

there is a difference between calzaghe and williams.

calzaghe has done it v power punchers /skillfull boxers/spoilers/brawlers/box punchers/unique styles.

just about every style known to boxing calzaghe has been able to figure out a way/take chances and let his hands go .

i am guessing without looking in the quintana 1 fight when williams was having torouble solving quintana out that williams punch count was cut from his normal count to about the welterweight norm.

This is a good point and I think no one would argue that Paul Williams isnt as well trained or as expereinced as JC. Remember, Paul Williams had no amateur experience, he hasnt been boxing hsi whole life like Calzaghe has either.

But, in his average fight not only does williams throw more punches than Joe, he throws a lot more..maybe 10-20 more per round or more. That is phenomenal.

I think you an also make the argument versus the quintana fight to Joe who wasnt able to throw his average tons of punches against bhop.

Definetely. Williams still lacks mental experience, and its shown.

true with bernard hop point, but that was because cortez let hops grab hold about 300 times in the fight which cut down the punching time available in the fight.

but williams is indeed a good example of a fighter with high punch output and i never new about williams not having any amatuer experience at all.

it will mean in future when he meets an awkward boxer he is going to have to learn on the fly or get a replica in for sparring

I am not sure I am just going off of my bad memory, but Willaims did have like 7 amateur fights. The fact remains though he has learned to box as a Pro.

I am not going to research it, but I think Williams has the compubox record for total punches ever thrown in a 12 round fight.

Margo has it, but the number of punches you throw in a fight means nothing.

Historically, we haven't seen him at 37 but Ike Ibeabuchi must have had the best workrate ever pound4pound prime for prime. I mean his punch output was just ridiculous for a heavy and he didn't even look tired.

Glenn Johnson has a good workrate too.
