Not to mention the ****ing moron Duane Ford admits to ****ing up his scoring in the first fight, which cost Hopkins the Draw and his titles. Pathetic that this reject still keeps getting big fights to score. He also scored Wright-Soliman 117-110 I believe, which is an outrage.

that's all well and good but he lost both of those fights, regardless of the spin you put on them. he is 0-2 against taylor, end of story.

Calzaghe is not afraid of Hopkins. Why should he be? What the Hopkins fans dismiss is; Hopkins is 43 ****ing years old! Add that to the fact this fight wouldn't take place until another 6 months at least, and you have an old man getting older.

I hope this fight does come off now, just to make the delusional Hopkins' backers eat crow.

Realistically, Hopkins, especially at this point in his career CANNOT and WILL NOT beat Calzaghe.

Let's get this fight made........Of course after Calzaghe beats him all the Hopkins backers will say "He's to old." And they'll BE RIGHT! Why they can't see it NOW instead of after is amazing.

    My poor, deluded, Italian friend.

When are you going to realize that Calzaghe sucks? :D

When this fight is said and done it will be Calzaghe, and not Hopkins, who looks old. Hopkins will inevitably prevail; bet the trailer on it!

    :rofl:rofl:rofl

In all fairness, after looking at the potential excitment for this fight; I would love to see Calzaghe make his way to the states - especially if the fight is in NYC or the garden.

    I will be there.:yep

I do want to see this fight though. Both men deserve it, and why not? I just think the super natural one will have to much output for the not so spring chicken Hopkins.

Tarver was not an elite. The fact you think so makes me embarrased to respond to one of your threads. It's like arguing with an overly nationalistic four year old.
Winky was an elite fighter but NOT at LH. Trinidad was a good win but still a jumped up welter who'd already been exposed by Oscar.
None of these guys compare to Kessler who was a real fighter(a real sm) and not just a 'name' as the american media seems so fond of.
Even Eubank at the dog end of his career was more of a threat (Calzaghe was also a complete novice at the time) than those 'names' you mentioned.
Go back to the lounge. Your posts seem far more intelligent there for some reason.

Tarver might not have been a P4P stud but he was widely considered to be the best LHW out there before fighting Hopkins.

Can you guys give him any credit?

I don't recall seeing any P4P lists that omitted Tarver prior to his fight with Hopkins.

I do give him credit. I think he'd beat James Toney from 160-175lbs and in his prime he may have beaten Calzaghe.
The Glenn Johnson, Keith Holmes results are good as well.
I think his career in many ways is simular to Calzaghe in that relative sucess happened late in their careers.
It's just this setting up of Hopkins as a legend of the ring, and that fact that he's often used by some posters to denigrate an equally good champ in Calzaghe that pisses me off. Both are atgs. But neither are Ray Robinson.
