only butthurts think a 49 year old can possibly be the best in the division, or even that he was at 43. 43!! Clutching at such short straws, and you don't even know it.
Calzaghe was great but bringing him up specifically against Mayweathers' career just simply looks like trolling and mocking Calzaghe.
joes ' best' opponents are 40something. think about that - there are no greats who need to claim such abject paucity. This is the abode of a minor champ.
Who keeps making threads about Calzaghe? Someone here surely hates him badly. Calzaghe was a great fighter, came into Hopkins' home turf and beat his arse, made him look like a fool............
it is weird why we have yet another Calzaghe thread. He's retired. He's in the other forum now, the classics one.
He only fought one fighter in his 40s when he was past 35 himself. Who are these others you think of atsch Yes Calzaghe could well be TBE
I recall very few people thinking that Joe won his fight with Robin Reid, and a lot thinking he lost to Hopkins so 46-0 can be questioned. Joe was a decent fighter comp was really weak and he ran from froch, at least according to Carl.
I rather Joe Calzaghe was 43-3 or 35-6 or whatever if he actually fought the best fighters when they were competitive. But regardless of what us fans think, he's made a lot of money and has the bottom line 46-0 statement, and that's all that matters to him.
