    He's right up there.

That could be down to his overzealous over rating fanboys though, who are making it very easy to hate on Calzaghe

    He does get under appreciated.
Hatton too, though talent wise he was a level below Calzaghe.

    Among the general forum?

Michael Spinks comes to mind. A lot of people don't realize what a great, great fighter he was. They just know of the Tyson massacre.

Hatton gets **** on all the time, too much IMO.

Oh the shame of losing to talentless scrubs like Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather. The guy also insisted on taking on Kostya Tszyu, not wanting Frank Warrren to continue feeding him lesser opposition.

He is overrated. The only names he has are Mikkel Kessler and a 43 year old Hopkins.

Yet because he went 46-0 fighting bums we have to listen to fanboys prattle on about how he can "adapt to any style" (hard to adapt to all those bums he fought right?) and has one of the best chins in the business (despite being down what, 4 times, to shot/nobody fighters?).

HE underachieved, and so he will always, and should always be under appreciated.

He is without doubt the most ludicrously, laughably overrated fighter this forum has ever seen, due to his vast legions of irrational diehard fanboy trolls on here. The guy beat one prime top-class smw fighter in his entire career (Kessler) amongst an otherwise utterly feeble handpicked resume (he didn't merit the decision over a well past-prime Hopkins), and yet you and others seem to think he's some sort of unheralded ATG. Mental. :nut

on here he is hihgly overrated mostly by brittards and eurotards. but the regular esb fan gives him respect and due which he deserves. he just isnt near being top 50 or even 70 all time.

His rating on here is balanced between the people claiming he is an ATG and the people saying he was ****. So maybe it's about right.

    I'm in the middle.
Quality fighter who WAS world class, but wasted his career staying at home having (mostly) easy defences of the WBO belt.

Kessler is by far his best win, it's just a shame there isn't many other meaningful ones on his record, if any.
