Is Calzaghe the only retired and undefeated world champion without controversial decisions?

I tried to avoid this thread but screw it.. Joe Calzaghe had the WBO before it was even considered a major title. On top of that he rarely if ever even fought a 60/40 fight. The odds were always stacked against his opponent on top of two of his best 3 wins were against 2 40 year old fighters.. But that’s not even the worst..

Guess why his SMW run can’t be historical?? Because another fighter was in the same division at the same exact time with either the same amount of title defenses or one more than Calzaghe.. How is that great when it’s literally being done at the same time in the same division.. Tells me that division was not so good during their reigns..

I didn’t even mention all the weird “stoppages”..

 

Calzaghe only had two close fights that I recall in opinion in Reid (the closest) and Hopkins (which wasn't as close as some made out to be in my opinion) and Calzaghe deservedly won both.

He had some close fights, I don't agree with Reid - Calzaghe deserves this one and Reid fought dirty, lost his form and Calzaghe's class shone through. The Hopkins fight was much closer for me, maybe Calzaghe edged it down the stretch.
