Lineal champs are not always the best thing out there. Exp: Hatton at 140lb.

Steve Collins beat both Eubank and Benn. He himself said calzaghe would have beaten him. There is a case that RJJ didn't want to fight Collins but won't say he "ducked" him. In fact the only reason calzaghe fought a past it but not over the hill eubank wa bcause Collins pulled out.

Robin Reid was robbd against ottke and that was a disgaceful robbery if I have ever seen one. But Calzaghe beat Reid by SD and I scored that for JC too close fight yes but not a robbery. The nature of a split decision is one where ppl will always argue.

true true. I mean manfredo and mario veilts(spelling) twice!!!

other than Abraham the others still have a lot to prove

joe was a great talent, maybe even a great fighter. but not ATG and his legacy is decent at best. he'll be remembered at the very, very bottom of the all time 100, if at all

A lot of idiocy from fans and detractors alike, as usual.

Calzaghe's resume is in the same state it was before.

RJJ was SHOT long before he fought Calzaghe. Everyone knew that.

Calzaghe has a weak resume but was a brilliant fighter. He was in a weak division but beat all the relevant competition & people weren't exactly queing up 2 fight him. Very few could have beaten him @ 168 IMO & the ones who arguably could were ATG's.

It really depends how good you thought his Legacy was in the first place. If you thought RJJ wasn't shot and way past his prime when he fought Danny Green, but now think he probably was, then his legacy is falling apart.
The Kessler win is much harder to evaluate on right now, let's see how the super six develops first.
