Is Calzaghes legacy resting only on his win against prime Kessler?

jonesing the jones in the same way lebedev did. ha. joe was just another of the "cowardly euros" hiding out from jones until the man had become crippled like ali, because they knew jones would have destroyed them instantly previously.

calzaghe has one elite win, Kessler.
2 other decent wins - bika and lacy. that's it. If reid was ok to call a win, you would add that, but it was a draw really, one of those bungled "ricky burns" type jobs where joe was being outboxed.

no one can claim Mitchell was a good win, Byron was retiring AND cheated by a fake stoppage after flooring joe.

he has one borderline elite s****e - old Hopkins, which certainly was not a good win considering he faced an old man and barely won by workrate alone. no way on earth is that a good win. no way lebedev or any one who waited on someone to age to 40something, and still almost lost by whisker, is anything like that a good win.

picked by wassen because they were retiring with woodhall crippled by a back injury and Mitchell, the crushed loser of the north American title bout, still too good for joe to beat without a fake stoppage.

Yet you pick them like they were good opponents for joe, speaks volumes for joes resume and your expectations that title fights should be against cripples, retirees and losers. no wonder you think they are great.

carl frochs worst defence, Yusuf Mack, whom froch destroyed, would have destroyed these cripples and losers.

    Calzaghes record speaks for itself.

SD over a guy who was decisievly beaten both before and after.

Struggling to KO a shot fighter with a glass jaw, who was koed twice before and after.

Beating Eubanks whod already been decisively beat twice by Steve ****ing Collins and would lose his next two fights and retire.

2 genuine legit KOS out of 46 fights (the rest were TKO british stoppages)

Beats Lacy who did nothing in particular before or after the fight.

I wont even start on his 20 odd title defences against welsh miners, latvian builders and african toilet cleaners.

NO. Its a number of title defenses, and a win over Hopkins, which really had legs.

Eubank was clearly past it at that point and was coming off a loss to Collins and two exhibition fights overseas. You can only bring up two fights when it comes to Calzaghe's entire career. Kessler and Lacy.

and lacey was one of the worst SMW titlists in history. joe sure bided his time waiting for a weakling to get a major smw title, 9 years it took him waiting for lacy.

in effect, its only injured Kessler, in Cardiff.
