Is Calzaghe's win over Jeff Lacy more impressive than Crawford's win over Canelo

Definitely Crawford over Canelo is the more impressive win for me. And I dont really think it's close.

 

I agree. Lacy was the boogieman at 168 at the time, and he was in his prime. He and Calzaghe were the same size. Calzaghe had just recovered from hand injuries at the time.

Calzaghe-Lacy was much more one sided than Crawford-Canelo. Much of the latter fight had slow-footed Canelo chasing the elusive, defensive Crawford, although when Canelo tired in the late rounds the taller and longer Crawford stood his ground.

If Crawford had beaten a prime Canelo at 154 a decade ago, it would have been a very good win. But Alvarez is faded and slow-footed now.

 

Canelo is to boxing what the Spice Girls were to music.

 

He is the same size I although I do think Canelo is on the slide he's not completely shot even tho I may have said that before lol

 

He is the same size weight wise slightly taller and longer

 

for the longest time i never understood why such a big deal was made about beating lacy. its frickin lacy. who tf is lacy in the big picture? wtf did he ever accomplish that made beating him such a big deal?

How was the Lacy win better?

Lacy had done nothing.

He wasn’t better than Canelo.

And Terence beat him after more than a year out, at an older age, and after having moved up 2 divisions.

How is Lacy a better win?

It doesn’t matter if Joe beat him easier. He was a lesser fighter.

What Joe did was great.

But nobody knew how Terence was going to perform with the added weight. After more than a year out. And after his close fight with Madramov.
