    Well this is ESB so your case does not have to be that good in order to promote it Wholeheartedly. But at least there are more differences than similarities between Brian Nielsen and JC

    Brian Nielsen has never fought Felix Savon, this was Balardo. Balardo was a very small Super Heavy Weight and chose to fight at that weight because he couldn't beat Felix Savon.

    Why do people complain about mandatries though when the fighter Is a weak? Veit was Joe's mandatory twice. Most fans think the fighter should choose who he wants to fight as well.

    These guys are b to b- level fightes. The fight with Brewer was embarrassing, and Brewere was basically shot. Sheika was nothing ever great, just excting to watch. Woodhall another one that was not that great. Lacy was really a young figher who hadnt really proved anything but still I rank it his best peformance. Joe needs to fight A level opposition to make his mark. His resume is very comparable to Nielsons actually, and the ones who say Nielson only fought his opposition when they were shot, need to see some of Joes fights, especially the Echols and Brewer fights.

    i thought that calzaghe v echols was very boring

    neither fighter landed a single shot .

    i enjoyed calzaghe v brewer, one sided but still entertaining.

    He's comparing the IBO and WBO titles, not the fighters or level of competition they bested.

    Not really. I like to make these threads because it seems the popularity of fighters overseas elevates them to a level they really shouldnt be at. To me its just laughable when guys like Calzhage are compared to Roy Jones, or Bernard Hopkins. Or Vitali Klitschko compared to Lennox Lewis. These guys havent accomplished enough in the sport to elevate them to those levels. Joe Calzahge is a very popular fighter in the UK, as was Hatton, but unlike Hatton, Joe hasnt realized that making his mark on the world class elite level requires fighting and making the best fights. I do think Joe has the skills and guts to compete at that elite level, he just needs to get out there and make it happen like Hatton is doing now.
    Until then, hes really on the same level as Brian Nielson was, a fighter that has potential, but chooses to fight in his country and against fighters he and his promoters are sure they can beat to make the most money as possible.

    Gotcha. I think that Calzaghe has had all the tools in the world to be right at the top of the pound for pound list. Not to mention, at his best, he's a very enjoyable fighter to watch and even unique.

    But your point stands very well. However, just as Taylor is looking to legitimize his title reign in his bout with Pavlik, I feel that Calzaghe can legitimize his reign against Kessler.
