He is very good, but is massively hyped by GB. So is he over-rated? Possibly by GB and Ring who had him in their p4p list, but he is a good and pretty proven fighter.

Hype-job is rather extreme and unfair.

I always saw him that someone who would, at best, be a good solid fighter. Popular and someone who would attract crowds, but nothing about his skills or physical gifts that stood out to me.

I was not surprised in the least that an older, smaller Mayweather outclassed him. A great fighter versus a good one.

A hype job in the sense that they have made him out to be much better than he is. He is a very good fighter but not an ATG, which is what they want you to believe. He has $ex appeal for the Mexican market and they tap that with each fight.

to be honest, canelo is a good boxer, very good boxer.
He isn't a hype job, most cash cow boxers get hate for some reason and it doesn't make any sense.

We'll never see the level of fighter that we used to. These days, the money is too LARGE for these fighters to keep the hunger for fighting more than one "big money fight" per year. Unfortunately, when it comes to HUGE money, a fighter only has to be truly be hungry for a few years these days. Afterwards, it just becomes a paycheck. How long do title holders have belts for anymore?

Nah wins over Vazquez,Rhodes, Trout,Angulo,Lara could add Kirkland & Cotto this year.

Every fighter you can name in history has some close or debatable fight's mostly vs high level comp. Just depends on the level none of Canelo's close fight's are blatant robbery's just close fight's makes no real sense to hate on him.

Canelo has good skills, nice and accurate punches, good power, great chin, ok speed, wants to fight anyone, and he has the 'x factor' which most boxers lack.

Nothing to hate about him, odd that some people do. It's not like he's a ****y annoying guy.

Golovkin would knock him out. Notice that Cotto is fighting Geale next at a catch weight, after Golovkin knocked Geale out. Cotto is afraid of Golovkin.................
