yes, i think hes overhyped, but one thing i like about him is the way he puts his punches together. lot of pop/snap on his shots and he throws them in all sorts of angles. havent seen much recent mexican fighters punch like him. what u think?

His style they like to say is not very Mexican like... He is very intelligent in the way he fights, uses combos, applies smart pressure, and ia very good body puncher, the way his body is built for his division is like how Tyson was built... short Stocky, with a lot of muscle and power...

And yes he packs a punch, once they feel that power is survival mode.

hes a great puncher and pretty smart but hes so damn flatfooted and rarely moves his head.

Might end up being an easy target for old man Mosley. watch out! :yep

Oh and to categorize him as just a puncher is not something I would so, he is more then just a puncher and so many good fighters have came out of mexico I don't think its fair to already be using the term best of mexico when speaking of canelo... I like him a lot but he is in his infancy of a legacy he is creating.. later we can speak more of this.. especially after we see him against top ranked opponents in his divison and GOod fighter Like COtto and May.

Not flat footed at all buddy, of course he is not on his toes like PAC but he is not all flat footed like a face first plodder... He's a boxer, an agressive counter puncher I love to categorize him as...

TKO's were his bread and butter when coming up, he got his fans excited, so then he did it on HBO killed baldomir and the rest is history.... Also add his likeable persona and unique looks :yep... You got a gold mine. :good then add the signing of Golden Boy as his promoter and the careful moving of his career you got a Gold mine..

Skills are not everything in boxing to make it big, you have to have the right persona as well something unique about you.. Money you have his attitude and bad guy attitude, Pac you have a humble guy who came from **** into one of the most recognized boxing faces alive now and a nation behind him.. Uniqueness is about making it big.

One of the best, canelo has been quoted saying that he studies Mayweather a lot... He even copied Mayweather " imitation is the sincerest from of flattery" vs Alfonso Gomez an opponent who had no chance, and canelo had no respect for he was just testing out some new moves in there, doing a shoulder rolll that **** was epic, not only that he was effective with it too :yep

Yes, he was effective alright, effective in letting Gomez land shots right over the shoulder and bounce his head off the ropes.

    :patsch
