From what I'm hearing, Canelo didn't have a drug test for this fight.

WoW Canelo and Floyd look like pin cushions.:icon_popcorn:

Based on the facts, Clenbuterol is primarily something that is used by people with breathing difficulties - but not without the realms of possibility that it has benefits in that area for someone with stamina issues.

The other main potential benefit is it's weight-loss effects.

IMO it makes much more sense to think that Canelo was MAYBE abusing Clen at 154/160, but less so at 175/168 as cutting weight is probably not such a big deal.

I think Canelo's stamina issues at 154/160 were 2-fold - 1) natural fatigue to cutting so much weight; and 2) It only surfaced in fights where his opponent forced some kind of tempo on him that he was uncomfortable with.

Neither of these really apply to Callum Smith who hardly tried to make the fight his from a tempo POV.

To see if Canelo's previous stamina concerns are still an issue at 168, you'd need someone like Plant (or maybe a 100% BJS) who is gonna move, give Canelo angles and most importantly let their hands go every second of the round.

Not surprising with Covid I doubt many athletes are getting tested at all in any sports, especially in countries where it's so prevalent. We should assume any boxers fighting in the US and UK right now are not being tested.

COVID gives you the PERFECT cover to juice up, with all sorts of ****, and all you have to do is cite "medical exemptions".........

    Sounds familiar.

I would guess he's taking some kind of PEDs, it's just the nature of sports nowadays, and probably has been for awhile. Not just the very best like Canelo, Holyfield, Bonds, A-Rod, Lance, etc....but the other, less talented ones who are trying to work their way up to.
