    My Opinion....

I think once Floyd & Pac are gone.... Canelo will be the one. I really like Canelo... I like the way he carries himself. I'm growing to like his skills inside the ring. He's pretty honest with the fans.

I hope that he can win impressively vs lara and go on to win impressively vs the winner of cotto vs sergio. I think having those two wins would cement him as the sports next star. Time will tell though, hopefully he can stick around 154.

Depends on if he keeps winning. If he beats Lara he will be on his way.

350K on his first headlining PPV isn't bad. And it's around what Floyd/Pac did too. Maybe more.

    He's on his way.

Floyd & Pac have spoiled us. I remember a point in time when 350k was respectable, I still think it is.

He should be he's got an entertaining style, a unique, marketable appearance, and will fight anyone. What's not to like. That should translate into ppv buys.

Definitely. But at one point. Both of those guys were doing Mills like it was nothing. A lot of that has to do with the spread of social media and word getting around faster than ever.

A Million PPV buys was once for SUPER MEGA EVENTS. It also has a lot to do with guys being actual celebrities. Floyd and Pac are actual celebs. People don't say Manny Pacquiao the boxer, or Floyd Mayweather the boxer, their just known and both have long profiles.

So that has a lot to do with it.

The thing Im gonna miss about both of them when their gone is the events. Just how big of an event it is when they fight. You can feel it in the air, the night of when they fight.

The bar for a PPV star is so damn high now when compared to Floyd and PAC IMO.

Based on history I see this kid expanding his fan base and with his pretty boy looks :oops:he could also bring in more casual fans like ODLH did in the past.

I always thought Lara would merk him but you can't put anymore trust in Goldenboys shows these days.

A Canelo victory is a foregone conclusion. They ain't putting him into a fight he might lose to against Lara. GB have been trying to get Lara knocked off for his last few fights.

I hope not. The fewer the PPVs the better IMO.

He's not good enough. Unless he can be like Oscar who carries on being a big PPV attraction despite losing in big fights.

For sure since he probably accepted a bait to take it easy on little Floyd. That was probably THE deal.
