    He makes $30-40m per fight

He signs "multiple" fight deals with promoters

His promoters never want to renew.

    Why?

    Because they either;

    Make a loss
    Not enough profit to extend

His fanbase is Mexicans who pay the PPVs and even they want him to fight Benavidez

He is running out of of viable opponents and promoters know it.

If Turki owns all the promoters by the end of 2025 he can check mate Canelo because there will be no one else left to pay Canelo on his own terms.

Canelo retires or vacates by end of 2025

He might be ducking but pissing off Turki is better than a fight with Crawford

Yeah, it's a duck. Benavidez is his #1 contender now chasing him in two divisions - there's money there for this fight.

I don't think he's ducking. It's called understanding your worth and knowing how to turn the screws.

He took on Bivol which was more of a risk than Crawford, for much less than $150 million mind you.

He has nothing to prove against Crawford, that would be a mismatch. But as a Canelo fan I'm starting to feel a little funny as to why he won't fight Benevidez. That's his premier challenger at or around 168 pounds.

I've come around from being a person who thought he was marinating the DB fight to one where he is just outright ducking the best opponents. Bivol took his soul.

Canelo would fight Crawford before he would Benavidez that’s just how he rolls,as for asking 150-200 million to fight either of these fighters which is around 4-5 times his normal fight price of course it’s ducking,he is clearly using the big money ask to hide behind .

A fight with Benavidez is not 5x what he is getting for regular opponents

His fights are generating less PPV numbers as time goes by too

Promoters aren't extending their contracts with him.

Canelo is doing a Mayweather and just rinsing as much money as he can before he takes another loss

    Who said 5x? I didn’t say 5x.

If Benevidez and Crawford are so interested in fighting Canelo then they should first fight eachother to establish who the #1 challenger is. The problem is that they are not interested in doing that, they just want some of that big easy Canelo money. Who's ducking who?

He won't get what he wants. He will duck Benavidez or fight him on Turkis terms.

Turki will make more stars in boxing by consolidating the power
