Bro says "timing is everything" ignoring the fact the best time to fight an opponent is when they're ranked and in their prime. A fight with David would make millions with the Mexican fanbase and as a bonus boosts Canelo's historical ranking fighting a big talented undefeated fighter. Isn't David his mandatory as well?!

It's a blatant duck if he doesn't fight him. Nobody wants to see him get schooled by Bivol again so he can say he was "brave" moving up to fight a bigger guy just to lose again. Canelo has brainwashed so many of you.

Most boxers don't duck anyone and Canelo's resume is speaks for him.

Most fans on the other hand like to project their fears and insecurities into boxers.

Bivol would completely dismantle Benevidez. He would DOMINATE him.

Canelo is looking to fight Bivol at a weight that is advantageous to Bivol, even knowing he got dominated by this guy.

How effing stupid do you have to be to say Canelo is ducking Benevidez? REALLY stupid.

Yes, Canelo's resume full of very strategic match making speaks for itself. Fighting Bivol is the exact opposite of what he needs for his legacy right now.

    Let's see:

    1. Didn't want to fight for his belt until he no longer held it.
    2. Said "I don't fight Mexicans" after moving to 168.
    3. Is literally looking to fight anyone in any other division. What does winning a belt he'll never even defend really do for him? Even if he beat Jack, that's an accomplishment, not a legacy. Legacy would be what he did in the fights after at CW. Also him against Jack would have been a great fight from 2016-2018.

Deluded haters always seem to think they know what's best for a fighter's legacy. LOL

Yeah he ducking and he knows that everybody knows he's ducking. He got enough dummies out there to keep his pockets fat no matter who he fights.

If Canelo's ducking Benavidez than what is Bivol doing to Canelo? Last time I checked, Canelo Bivol had a rematch clause. It was supposed to happen immediately but the network wanted Canelo GGG 3 instead. Bivol has been trying to wiggle his way out of the rematch, but I don't see you calling that a duck.

Here's something else to remember - fans have wanted to see Canelo fight Charlo for a lot longer than they've wanted him to fight Benavidez. Charlo is 33, Benavidez is 26. Benavidez could fight David Morrell which would be a big fight. Benavidez and Morrell are good up and coming prospects but they don't really have the experience the deserve the Canelo fight yet. Jermall Charlo has done more in the sport than Benavidez, yes he's been inactive but it's a bigger fight than the Benavidez fight is at this point. Canelo vs Jermall Charlo would be massive in Texas, they could easily sell out a baseball stadium. Benavidez can marinate, there is no rush to make that fight because Benavidez is so young. He doesn't bring anything to the table. Canelo might as well make the biggest fights available now, like a Charlo or Bivol 2, and if Benavidez wants to prove he's ready for Canelo, fight Morell in an eliminator,. When Benavidez becomes the mandatory for Canelo, then Canelo should fight him, but as it stands, Canelo has no obligation to fight him next. Benavidez did take a big step by beating Plant, but lets face it Plant was boxing his socks for a good portion of that fight. I totally get why people want to see Canelo fight Benavidez next, and I'm not against it happening, but if you're going to call it a duck, then call out Bivol for ducking the Canelo rematch which is clearly is.

Since Charlo and Benavidez both fight for PBC, maybe a 2-fight deal makes sense for Canelo, first Charlo then the winner of Benavidez Morrell. Canelo Bivol 2 is easier to make since they both fight for DAZN, but if Bivol doesn't wanna fight then Canelo fighting Charlo / Benavidez on PBC makes sense.

You can miss me with all that background talk. Canelo is ducking Benevidez, He know it and so does everyone else that's looking at the lay of the land in the super middleweight division with an unprejudiced eye. There are some people who reject the evidence of thier own mind but I guess it takes all kinds. He ducked Benevidez to fight Bivol, claiming that Benevidez didn't have a belt. He actually thought that Bivol was the easier fight for him and would add to his manufactured legacy. If he loses to Benevidez, he loses a lot of his fans also because Benevidez is reppin Mexico as well. The only fight that makes sense for the majority of the boxing public is the fight against The Mexican Monster. He don't want that smoke. So, he fights bigger guys for a built in excuse if he loses. Who is the hell wanna see him fight old ass Badoo Jack? When is he gonna defend the belts in the 168 division where he is supposed to be King? The only way he gets in there with El diablo roho is if they chain him to the ring post. I ain't trying to hear no excuses for Canelo cause I know a duck when I see one.

Losing to the same guy twice is going to do more for his legacy than finally facing a mandatory opponent people have been asking him to fight for over 4 years???

    "over 4 years" GTFO LOL

Four years ago Benavidez was just another in a long list of names, with very little to offer, trying to get a spot on Canelo's dance card.

And NO, loses don't do much for your legacy but wins against all odds do.

Canelo has been fighting opponents with little to offer for a long time, like his last fight vs a Uk Journeyman. 4 years ago Benavidez was already a 2 time wc and clearly the biggest killer in the division.

Canelo already ducked him in 2021 when he signed to fight unknown boring Bivol and 40 year old GGG over the Benavidez/ Charlo big box office package. Then he created the narrative that Benavidez had to earn the fight which he did, and when he finally did it, he is desperately looking in every other division to cherry pick as usual. Jack fight is a joke, and the Charlo fight is embarrassing. He is totally shameless now and clearly scared to death of the Mexican monster.

For good reason also because a 6=2 power puncher with speed insane volume , cardio and aggression is a nightmare match up for him, and likely stops him brutally with volume. He never ever fights Benavidez, and I knew this 2 years ago. Now its time to sit back and chuckle.
