Correct, losses don't do much for legacy. Which is why it's absurd Canelo is pretending to dare to be great fighting a much larger opponent who (easily) beat him before so he can avoid the criticism for not fighting his mandatory. Fanboys are weird.

 

Please us some common sense. Around that time Benavidez was starting to make a name for himself and in the meantime Canelo was busy fighting the likes of GGG, Jacobs and Kovalev-all who brought more to the table than Benavidez could. Then Benavidez went belt-less for over 2 years.

GGG failed to beat Canelo the first time when he was supposed to destroy him, called on him to fight him Mexican Style, Canelo obliged and gave him the beating of his life. There's always someone out there that haters are gonna accuse him of ducking. Canelo fought the MW Boogeyman GGG 3x and was undefeated vs him. He fought Jacobs instead of Charlo, if he fought Charlo back then you would say he was ducking Jacobs. Back then he was not a free agent, he was signed to a long term deal with DAZN making it impossible during that time to make deals with PBC.
