Canelo has a lot of people fooled but I'm not buying into that bull**** that he will fight anybody. He fought Mayweather because he was told that his size, youth and power would carry the fight. He didn't want to fight Trout so they took Trout to Texas and assured Canelo that Trout wouldn't be walking out of there with a victory. Then he fought ( made for a beat down ) Angulo. He didn't want to fight Lara but he really didn't have a choice so he had to act like he wanted it. Now out of those four fights, he lost to Mayweather, and beat Angulo clearly. I think he lost to Lara and the Trout fight could have went either way and if it wasn't held in Texas may have went the other way or called a draw. He don't really want to move up in weight yet he comes in on fight night weighing between 165 and 175 for a 154 fight. Trip G came in at 173 so what does that tell you? Canelo can easily fight MW but he's an undercover ***** and don't wanna go no where near Trip G. I can understand it cause Trip G would knock his ass smooth out and that will be the end of all the hype. At any rate, he needs to campaign at middleweight where he belongs. He can fight Quillion and NDam or Korobov. I'm not knocking him for the Cotto fight because that's a money fight and a good move. My money is on Cotto.

Why does Canelo have to be "dumb" for wanting to take a tough fight? That's the problem with boxing nowadays... Nobody wants to appreciate a guys heart when he shows it, but let them get a tune-up or something and all of a sudden somebody is getting ducked

All of these of course are facts that you know because you used your telepathic powers to read Canelo's mind :thumbsup

Yes, but I doubt his people would let him near GGG. Same with Sergio. Canelo was calling Sergio out and his people convinced him to stop.

His people didn't convince him of avoiding Trout and Lara

they couldn't keep him from calling out Sergio either, ginger was calling out Cotto, Sergio and Floyd at the same time, Maravilla ignored him and chose to fight Murray instead

Canelo is too brave for his own good, and if he beats Cotto for the MW belt, i'm pretty sure he won't duck GGG. Cotto on the other hand...:verysad

I can't be arsed to find the video where Canelo explained why he stopped calling out Sergio, but it's out there and I've seen it.

Agreed! Canelo has earned respect when it comes to not dodging ANY fights.

I've seen that video too, and it's from way before the time of the Sergio-Murray and Trout-Cotto matches were signed

so even if they convinced him of not calling out Sergio once, ginger obviously changed his mind later on, when he stated he wanted Cotto, Maravilla or Mayweather.

it seems only Cotto showed some interest at that time, but lost to Trout and that's why Canelo took the Trout match

I'm all for rigorous drug testing in boxing, but we can't start crying PEDs on every boxer who is a wrecking machine.

GGG's punches are like a perfect golf swing--a nearly perfect transfer of energy through the body. Combine that with punching through his target, great accuracy, excellent footwork, good ring IQ and the ability to disguise and setup shots and he appears to be some superman on chemical help, but chemicals don't give you what he's got.

As far as opponents go, GGG has improved since and was ill during Rosado. Adama and Stevens were both heavily in survival mode throughout their fights, hence they lasted longer. Geale opened up and was there to fight and throw against GGG and he got caught. Rubio just didn't even show up, so that was easy work and an early night.pq

I know about everything you said and everything you said makes perfect sense, but the cynic in me which is quite powerful, has suspicions.

I know what you mean, and don't blame you at all for your cynicism. I'd like to hear about GGG undergoing rigorous testing just to remove any doubt, so if Canelo-Golovkin or Cotto-Golovkin happens, I'd love to hear about some strict testing.
