Usually when boxers put their guard up it is an invitation to punch. Canelo is inviting them to punch so he can counter them. Unlike you, most of Canelo’s opponents have watched footage of Canelo and know what he is doing. When Canelo is putting his guard up and standing still, that is exactly the time you don’t want to be throwing punches or committing to anything. That’s why Kovalev is prodding with the jab at those times, and trying to counter a Canelo counter.

My point is very clear. Kovalev neglected all his attributes he showed against bigger, heavier punchers in all of his fights previous - lateral, in out movement, hesitation to punches, commitment to his own punches. He throughout the fight did not sit down on punches and throughout the fight was pulling his punches.He was slowly pitty pattying Canelo who had a high guard pretty much the entire fight. Pretty much never throwing a hard committed shot. There are countless instances where Kovalev had clear openings to throw hard fast straights yet just slowly pitty pattied Canelo's guard for which much of the time Canelo wasn't even reacting to - hence Kovalev would have easily been able to land with faster commited straights, and something which would have been made all the more easier given the clear on display height and reach advantage.

Kovalev showed much more hesitation to Yardes punches (and literally all other opponents before that) than Canelo's yet throughout his fight with Yarde he was committing to pretty much all his punches, stepping in, fully extending and not pulling punches. This is something he did not do against Canelo who was there to be hit and did not demonstrate excellent defence that night as he was just simply plodding forward and not moving his head. This was a Canelo moving up two weight classes, and was no KO artist at 154 (with his notable knockouts being a 140lber chinny Khan and nobody past it Kirkland)... But Kovalev was scared of Canelo's counters? LOL terrible argument that just fails on every level here.

A fighter that comes to win against a counterpuncher does not prevent them throughout the entirety of the fight to not sit down on any punch and pull punches. And especially against an opponent who isn't a KO artist moving up two weight classes, and when Kovalev is known for sitting down on and stepping in on his elite of elite straights, jabs and 1-2S. Remember when Canelo was eating straight punches from smaller Lara and 36 yo Golovkin? Wonder why they didn't pull every single one of their punches and not commit to shots... That's right.. They weren't a sparring sessiom like Canelo Kovalev

No, you don't understand ****, your observational skills are rudimentary.

The fight itself. You are expecting there to be some kind of disclosure or document to "prove" the fight was fixed. Not going to happen. As there isn't this kind of proof you ignore all the obvious clues (should I say unable to put 1+2 together) in the fight that heavily point towards fix. See fights like Wilder Vs Malik Scott..that was as clear dive as it gets... Absolute nothing connects for the KO. I guess as there's no proof or disclosure saying it was fixed, it is not fixed then is it? Naive way of thinking.

Kovalev being knocked out and winning rounds means it can't be fixed? What kind of monumentally stupid argument is that?

"Canelo's defense is too good".. You're laughable dude.. You have a child's view of Canelo as if he is some supreme being and undefeatable champion. You do remember that time he was eating smaller 36yo GGGs jab right and smaller Laras straight. Canelo best performances were against GGG. Canelo's defense was not on display that night against Kovalev and you'd understand that if you had any ounce of observational skills. He was plodding forwards allowing himself to be slowly pitty pattied whislt every now and then moving his head.

I can ask the exact same question. Why would Kovalev accept a fight with a 1 month training camp shortly after the Yarde fight? Sounds fishy does it not? Is it also not fishy that Garcia Duno on the same card that night looked suspect?
