    Wasn't Povetkin banned by sanctioning bodies and not particular states?
    I wasn't aware of the Tyson incident at all. That's interesting.
    That Morrison thing is scary as ****.

    My point was that it isn't common for that to happen. The Povetkin case is strange as **** anyway and he shouldn't have been banned in the first place.

    I'm an old man..I might be wrong but I seem to remember Tyson couldn't get liscensed in NV, he wasnt actually suspended at the time I don't think.

    I think his license application was denied but he technically wasn't suspended. I'm just naming similar situations. The WBC is obviously willing to work with Canelo.

    You'd be surprised to know GBP doesn't make much from Canelo. Most of the money goes to Canelo and his opponent.

    GBP controls boxing in California, and Texas and the rest of the Southwest, the biggest boxing market in the U.S.

    No, he’s still popular and a good fighter. He took PEDs, like a ton of other athletes out there. He just got caught. He’ll still get big fights; quite possibly in September

    People are sheep. If he goes on to beat GGG and fills a bunch of pockets no one is going to care after a while. Especially the casual fans.

    Not at all. If his name was Canelokov or Canelovkin he'd be treat like the Angel of Darkness himself. I think he should seriously consider changing his surname to Jones, Toney, Mosley, Briggs, Tarver or something along those lines and he'll get awarded an obligatory free pass for his crimes in addition to the love and adulation of the fans.

    VADA cleared Povetkin, it was Haymon who ordered the WBC to cancel the fight, even after VADA cleared him. Povetkin has been blacklisted for a long time now. El Pollo will still be a star, he lost to Golovkin but had Oscar's judges, the suspension is what El Pollo and Oscar wanted, they want Golovkin to get as old as possible............
