I think that it's the fight everyone wants to see, the biggest possible fight in the boxing landscape currently with the most casual anticipation. Is it a huge fight? Beats me. I thought people were going to see through May-Pac, shrug like it was five years too late, and then it would only do about two million buys. Turns out, I don't know **** about boxing.

yep good post and the most important point I've been saying for ages,I still think Canelo would be Golovkins biggest challenge if only Canelo believed that then it would take him further.
Like you say Canelo would go down swinging but that's presuming Golovkin stops him or KOs him,if he's as tough as Murray it could be amazing to watch.
I've always thought Canelos got an iron chin but then again he always had such a size advantage,I guess what makes folk think GGG wins is when he's had enough and just turns on the violence up a notch?
By the way throwing the resume thing at GGG is just so lame,Golovkin was knocking out guys like Bute as an amateur?

Collectively GGG's opponents have wins over Felix Sturm, Shawn Porter, Hassan N'Dam, John Thompson, Gabriel Rosado, David Lemieux, Glen Tapia, Kevin Bizier, Jo Jo Dan, Brian Vera, Enrique Ornelas, Rigoberto Alvarez, Carlos Baldomir, Elvin Ayala, Tureano Johnson, Max Bursak, Nick Blackwell, Yyacheslav Senchenko, Jarrod Fletcher, Jesus Soto Karass, Brian Rose, Joaquin Alcine, James Kirkland, Patrick Texiera, Derrick Findlay, Joshua Clottey, Kassim Ouma, Daniel Dawson, Anthony Mundine, Sebastian Sylvester, Frank Buglioni and Adam Etches.

Liam Smith's best win is John Thompson, you're an idiot.

You're obviously a casual fan or worse a fan boy. For example, who beat Joshua Clottey, and how many years removed was Joshua Clottey from his best win (prime). You're the idiot.

Golovkin Vs. El Pollo would be a huge money fight, great number PPV..................Golovkin by knockout!!!

The truth is, Golovkin is an extremely hard puncher, with defense whenever he uses it, a rock solid chin, plenty of stamina, great distance, balance, you name it.......................he is for real!!!

Pollo Canelo is a bigger star than GGG ???????? ROFLMAO
Gennady Golovkin is the Undisputed Undefeated Middleweight Champion of the World The man every other fighter fears

Pollo Canelo is the trash talking coward that meekly handed his bogus WBC belt to GGG because he did noty have the balls to fight him

Pretty in Pink Cotto suffers from the same disease Mayweather & Canelo do Yellowstreakitis

BOTH are AFRAID to get in ring with a REAL fighter

Speed and great counterpunching skills negate Power.

Yeah & Canelo arguably got beat by both Lara & Trout. Only judging Mayweather style got Pollo the wins
In GGG- Brook I believe Brook came in the ring HEAVIER than GGG
Its no wonder no one takes you seriously

I just hope Kovalev gets a fair crack of the whip from the judges. no mayweather type officiating favoring Ward. Hope its a good fight with the best man getting the win
That's providing Ward shows up I still have my doubts

The biggest worry I have about the Kovalev/SOB fight is the criminal judges, boxing commission, referee................I have seen way too many bad decisions, bad refereeing and bad boxing commissions...............I only ask for a fair fight, not sure if I will buy the fight because of boxing politics............the price of the PPV could be $100, or it could be $70, we boxing fans have been getting ripped off of many years now, so I am gun shy.............

Forgot, someone mentioned El Pollo's great counter-punching, Golovkin is a fantastic counter-puncher, body puncher, has the reach on El Pollo, more power, stronger, both appear to have good chins, Golovkin has the stamina, can fight all 3 rounds of a fight, El Pollo can't, Golovkin by knockout!!! However, El Pollo won't fight Golovkin and Oscar surely will not allow El Pollo to get into the same right with him, Oscar knows better, afterall, why do you think El Pollo gave up the title?

And he's probably still better than John Thompson, who's Liam Smith's only win over a top50 opponent to date.
