I know this guy has had a lot of fights but he is very young to be fighting on this level. Maybe he is not in his prime yet. I don't think this would take away from may weather win though.
    What say you?

    Hard to measure. It's relative

Floyd could slaughter him and change him forever. Then we would have to call the Lopez and Trout fights his prime

No, and at 22 he shouldn't be rushed against someone of Floyd's calibre.
But there's too much money involved to let it go and you don't know when Floyd's p4p status will plunge and make the fight less exciting.
Nothing to lose. And a lot to gain.

Yes, Canelo is in his prime. He will be 23 in July.

The funny thing about this is if Canelo loses his next fight badly, and never recovers, his fans will use the excuse that he was past his prime.

Not by a long shot, Canelo is still improving with every fight

He's still improving with every fight so I don't think he's quite there yet. Not far off though.

not yet. he's already developing the 2 fight a year habit at a young age. He won't reach his prime for a while.

He could be. Many people will say Mayweather was in his prime when he fought Corrales. Mayweather was a little less than a year older than Canelo will be in his next fight. Canelo was also been a pro for like 8 years. We'll know when his career is winding down when his prime was.

Most likly not. You can never see the future and some boxers have peaked at 23 (tyson) and some peak in the mid 30s (Hopkins) . It's the best fight out there to be made right now in any weight class . It will be a huge event and competitive
