Way to ignore the rest of my post.

As small as Lopez was, he wasn't an inanimate object. In fact, it's easy to have bad form when fighting someone who offers little meaningful resistance. Then there is the slew of other opponents I mentioned, and the fact I said he hadn't been properly tested yet.

I thought he looked great vs Rhodes. The Brits actually thought Rhodes was going to have a good night.

I agree, he never took Gomez serious.

    Quintana??

First time I saw him fight was against Matt Hatton. I had never seen either one, and I thought Hatton was Canelo lol. He didnt impress me for whatever reason then, and hasnt since. I keep thinking I'm missing something when I watch him and I keep trying and hoping to see what everybody else does. But I havent yet. Maybe in his next fight I will.

The Brits actually thought Haye was going to give Wlad a boxing lesson and then knock him out.

Yeah, the kid who fought full grown Mexicans at 15, top10 contenders at 17, former champs at 19, a future HOF-er at 21 and is looking to fight a top5 LMW before getting on the P4P king, sounds like a desperately protected career on borrowed time. :patsch

Canelo had no name, had no big promoter, had no fan base, he built everything up by himself, borrowed nothing.

Trout is vastly over rated on this board. He beat a lethargic and uninspired Cotto and is very ordinary in his workmanship.Canelo would eat him for breakfast.

Say of what you will, it's actually better for boxing to build the biggest star, AND to have the semi-stars fight eachother constantly.

Nice try. If Cotto looked like he mailed it in it is because of Trout's abilities. There was a lot on the line for Cotto and he knew it.

He's very, very protected. A manufactured superstar for the time being.

I don't either. Trout looks to be a grade above Canelo in skill and ring IQ.
