I think that's their overall aim. Cause it sounds to me like this guarantee is whether he wins or loses. Which is lame. And obviously because he fears Trout.
I thought it was official he was facing Trout? Also does he want a guarantee he will face Mayweather, if he wins or loses vs Trout?
He's trying to get his fight with Floyd (primary objective), and if it doesn't work he then at least has a way to duck Trout (secondary objective).
...And it looks like Floyd point in this is; Primary objective = get Canelo vs Trout on the undercard for a massive payday increase. Secondary = get it done without having to face Canelo (or Trout) afterwards.
Only the ******s wouldn't understand what's going on here. Floyd need Canelo on his undercard to make his fight huge and Canelo knows it. If Floyd can't promise him a fight why should be help Floyd out.

You really believe the 3 consecutive Canelo fights on Floyd's undercard with 2 of them on 5 mayo is just a big coincidence?!? Think again man! Floyd can sell a PPV if he had no undercard at all, and without fighting anyone of note too. Enough *****s around who buy his PPV anyway. But when he gets Canelo on his card and certainly when it's on 5 mayo, the buys will show a huge increase like the poll here recently showed. (more buying it for Canelo vs Trout as for Floyd himself). And of course Floyd knows this, as he's not a total idiot. And Canelo knows this too, so he's playing his trumpcard now.
