I think its a little too soon to be calling him a bum. He seems like a decent enough fighter and has great power but we still dont know what level he's on.
Croch is a decent boxer, but hes not up there with the likes of Kessler. If he wins, he wont hold the title for long in my opinion. Hes no Joe Calzaghe
Taylor is f*cking dull as dishwater. His 12 round borefest with Lacy was a disgrace. Froch always brings excitment - i'd rather watch 20 of Froch's fights than 1 of Taylors.
It's Taylor's promoter who said that (a) they turned down the Froch fight to fight Lacy for more money and (b) they are interested in fighting Pascal if he wins, but not Froch. But why would someone turn down a title shot to fight an elimator for the same title shot? Clearly there's some bs involved from Di Bella but it's obvious that Froch is seen as far too much risk for too little reward by the Taylor camp. No doubt many of the ESB posters who see it as a reasonable approach would be screaming 'ducking' if the roles were reversed.
he is not a bum yet to find out how good he is. big punch and good chin. not great boxing skills. he is better than lacy.
I agree with what you say especially about the risk/reward factor involved when fighting Froch. If Taylor still doesn't fight Froch(if he gets by Pascal)for the WBC, when he fought Lacy in an eliminator,is he not ducking Froch?
:huh Of course not! He's a bronze medalist at the amateur world champs, so he's got very good skills. He's got a very good chin and very good power (how good we'll find out within the next year, year and a half, I hope), he's aggressive and strong willed and very confident. Such fighters always do very well in professional boxing. How well? We'll see!:good
