    Hear me out.

Key word is "now"....he used to be very underated and get zero attention, this is when I really supported Carl, when he was a relative nobody and getting no piece of cake. He was a humble lad and a good fighter, others were getting a crack and he didnt get anything for years. It was great finally seeing him get the attention, but since he got the backing from Edward and Matchsticks, Carl has turned into a bit of a **** IMO, and from a once underrated fighter, he is now being sold to the public like the best thing going.

Good fighter, but nowhere near as good as the PR is making out. Some f*cking bandwagon they got started I tell thee. :tired

Jump aboard all the :tired ! Eddie "IBF Route" Hearn is a master of this craft, just like his dad.

All about the PR, saying the right things through the mainstream media, and smiling at the camera. Sly have been brainwashing the :tired for years, giving it to those that want want want.

Its no wonder Carl is now the way he is. You start to become it when your around it for long enough. It eats you if you let it. Just like the hood.

Carl has fought the best in the division, win or lose, he is not underrated or overrated he is respected.

I admit that maybe all the sudden fame and adulation may have gone to his head a little bit, but to be honest, if there's one fighter who's entitled to let that happen to them then it's Froch.

For years he was left out in the cold despite being Britain's top fighter. Over-hyped idiots like Khan and Haye got all the attention from Sky whilst Carl was left to rot on Primetime due to Mick Hennessy. Signing with the Hearns is the best thing he's ever done for his career.

Carl's a confident lad, not cocky but very self-assured. When he says he's Britain's top SM ever he really believes it. Lots of people may think he's jumping the gun and being a bit over-proud of himself but like I said at the start, after all the **** he had to put up with for so long I guess we can forgive him for it.

 Froch was a humble lad? When was this?

"Matchsticks" "Sly" :-( Another pathetic, attention seeking thread from one of the forums worst posters.

Anyone know who's alt this is?

Got no problem with Carl believing what he says, thats natural for any fighter, just look at Audley Harrison. If you dont believe in yourself or what you say, how can you achieve anything in life never mind boxing?

So i aint got a problem with that, but it no longer seems like Carl Froch talking, you might as well stick Carl in front of the camera, with Eddie behind doing all the talking, like a ventriloquist act.

Its one and the same. Its all PR and image managing. Its cringe worthy, especially when you see how Carl used to be. Its how he used to be that I supported, when he wasnt getting ****, I cant support this Carl Froch.

I agree, that many average fighters got the attention at the time when Carl was a nobody, Carl deserved it more, and never got it until the later part of his career. You'll probably find Carl sticking around for longer had he not matched up with Matchsticks now. To try and squeeze every last drop of juice out of the orange, but we've seen many before not leave it alone and end up paying for it.

Ricky Burns is kinda the same now, not getting the exposure or the attention he deserves m ore than others, and is stagnating because of it and poor promotion. Hopefully Ricky gets a taste before Carl did.

One thing with Ricky is that I doubt very much he will change. Aint got it in him. He is real, and I admire that, I can relate.

I always just assumed it was one of PK's, I thought everyone did. Either that or someone doing a good impression of a PK alt.

Comparing him to another p4p top British fighter (khan) he has fought much better opponents and had better success. He's had nowhere near the same publicity or fame.

Thanks for attempting to destroy another thread of mine posing a relevant question. I assume the same few didnt read everything and just saw the title. Same few every single time. I wasnt having a go at Froch at all. Looks like he is your lover boy.

    F*cking plants.

You cant touch me. You cant get to me.

Remember this in the future. I know how it works.

NO, he has been a strong & consistant fighter who has been riding his peak fabulously.

I think he's still good for 2 years and fit for anyone, 'IF' it goes well for Carl, a couple more BIG wins including Ward, he will have earned the right to be regarded as one of Britain's finest ever fighters.

Thanks for the insightful post mate. At least you could disagree and post on topic without the abuse. :good

It's alright anyway, the plants are all on ignore now. In the words of Tommy Cooper "JUST LIKE THAT"

And I'm the one working an alt account? :huh

I'm sure PK is laughing at that accusation, because we both know the truth.

Froch isn't overrated at all,he has been in with everyone and done well. He lost to Ward and Kessler and accepted it. He is in with a chance with either in a rematch. He isn't overrated he is rated just right.
