I understand fighters down there don't have as many opponents as lightweights ans welters but comon .. he has one win with significance .. plus he already has a loss ... so he lost to someone along the way .... u have to take that into consideration ..

Is the guy a talent? Yes ... but what has he done

His friend andre ward has a better claim to p4p and let me tell u Andre isn't top 10 yet

**** what the scorecards said, dirrell beat him and exposed him for not being able to handle good boxers with good movement. Not that that's Ward's style, but I think Ward will rain on Froch's parade.

If he keeps on track he's on track to solidify a pretty respectable legacy indeed.

I would never say a man is on the verge of anything if the highest peaks are still before him. Glenn Johnson and Andre Ward are huge asks for Carl Froch and both will undoubtedly be the hardest tests of his career. If Froch wins the super six he's getting close to becoming an ATG. If Froch beats Bute afterwards he is an ATG for sure. But each of those fights will be a much bigger ask for him then Taylor or Kessler or anyone else he's fought so far. So no he is not on the verge of becoming an ATG...but he could be 12-18 months away from becoming an ATG if performs well.

Totally agree. If he pulls it off he easily makes ATG and HOF.

    pascal and dirrel shouldnt count

    they were both in nottingham

based on the amount of times pascal got hit in the back of the head he would had gotten DQed if it was anywhere else.

and dont get me started on the dirrel fight

Although its easy to brush the OP away as nonsense, Froch is building a relatively solid resume and it isn't that farfetched to see someone coming out of this era of proactive super middleweights ahead of someone like Calzaghe who has a particularly shallow body of work, purely because they are actually willing to fight each other.

No, he has a LONG WAY TO GO before he reaches that status (if he does at all).

Have him win about 5 or 6 more fights against the best, then we can start putting him with the ATG's.

Until then, sorry, can't do it.

The winner of the super six who beats Bute is an ATG due to the level of competition they beat to get to that point. It looks like it's going to be Ward but it could be Froch or Johnson too.

Gee a Pavlik fan criticizing Froch! Who knew.

P.S. I love how people tell us "the Klits will never be ATG's because they never fought anyone with a good resume!" yet Froch fights fights loads of top guys with great resumes yet will never be coinsidered an ATG.

This forum is so full of haters it's unbelievable.
