Is Carl Froch on the verge of becoming an ATG?

i think if he wins the supersix and then beats say bute and pascal at LHW he has a fair chance. as for top 20 he may need hang around for the next ten years beating everyone from middle to heavy

Steve Bunce thinks he has a better resume now that Lewis, Calzaghe etc.

He's certainly a British ATG.

 

stevie wonder has a better resume than calzaghe, but that doesn't make him a better fighter.

 

everytime froch got close dirrel fell to the floor, if dirrel had fought like a man he may well have beaten him desicively but then froch may well have caught him with a good punch and finished him. dirrel didn't do ernough to win that fight.

 

in that is the case ward hasn't won a fight of note yet? every fighter fights at home sometimes, but 3 of his last 4 fights have been away from home including his first defence to taylor.

...No, that does not come anywhere even remotely close to ATG status. NOWHERE NEAR, even though I think he is a good fighter.
