It sure as hell seems so. Loads of new posters hyping him as if he's the second coming.

nah, he's got a title fight coming up and coz his British, people think he could be in line to face Joe Calzaghe. the only reason people are even mentioning Froch is because of Calzaghe.

Ive heard seen him mentioned for things he has done on his own right. He's nothing too special.

Not really, he seems to have about 10 die hard fans on here but that's about it.

He is not hyped at all and he simply hasn't fought anyone good so nobody really knows what to make of him yet.

imo he is a good prospect, just needs to keep his mouth shut...concentrate on Pascal and let his boxing do the talking because he is not bad and would be trouble for anyone in the division whether winning or not.

He's hyped as being second only to Kessler and in some cases as better than Kessler. If that isn't hype, I don't know what is. Who has this guy beaten?

I've not seen any "hype" at all, most people haven't seen enough of Froch to say how good/bad he is.
Whatever "hype" there is around at the moment comes from the fact he has a World Title shot against a beatable opponent coming up and its being shown on mainstream, primetime British TV.
He is also being considered by the Calzaghe camp as a possible opponent. And if not, then Taylor would be in the frame.

Froch's resume is thinner than my hair! He demands fights with guys like Calzaghe, Kessler, Taylor, but does not show much willingness to prove himself against guys like Bika, Miranda, Zuniga, et. I think he'll beat Pascal, but so what. Pascal/Froch is really two untested prospects fighting for the WBC title, and seems utterly ridiculous to me.

    Huge fail.

Inkin was the only obvious duck from what I can see, with a more prominant manager he could have atleast got a few good contenders under his belt, even some former title holders wouldve been nice, a Sanavia, Siaca maybe...no one special, but with some degree of record behind them.

But no, an extremely faded Rob Reid is his best win so far, along with battle weary fringe top 20 contender Tatesovyan...

Froch is hitting 30, in fact he is probably already there and has only just got his first meaningful world level match up coming up.
