These killings did not happen over sacrificial purposes to religious deities. They happened for much more complex issues (territory, nationalism, resources ect.).

None of them were chopping off body parts on top of some religious temple and parading it around thousands of onlookers to see (unless you're talking about the vikings, but that is a whole different story).

Have to give Froch credit for his strategy against Groves.
