    Don't think he was even the strongest middle. I'd go for Dick Tiger.

    Whenever this question comes up, I always have to swoop in and say Artur Beterbiev unquestionably for me.

    The LHW who moved to HW in amateurs despite being no way near the weight limit, and he physically imposed himself incredibly there. Very dangerous from close range.
    He's the hardest hitting amateur to turn pro in the headgear era, statistically at the higher level.

    In both Nino B. fights, Monzon threw Nino around the ring and broke his will to fight.

    Nino was MW champ for several years and had beaten EGriffith, a strong fighter in his own right.
    But D.Tiger had beaten Nino in an over the weight match, which is sometimes forgotten.

    How about Dick Tiger? He basically ran over Fullmer in two of their three fights, and mauled Rubin Carter. Both of these men were extremely strong in their own right.
